Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I set a goal to be all conference TE and I was awarded second team all conference.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and Teammates would say that I am a selfless, tough, hardworking player that will do anything to help the team win.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I always focus first on my technique. What are my feet and hands doing? How can I improve them? When I get this type of look what would be the best release? What is my QB thinking in this look and what can I do to be a better target for him? I always want to find something to improve every time I watch film.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I think that my knowledge of football and ability to learn a playbook separate me. I’ve always been keen to understanding play concepts and how to adjust based on looks.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I am planning to work with a speed and strength coach and a routes coach starting in January. I am also meeting with a nutritionist to get my diet dialed in so I can be at my best for pro-day.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
What I bring to a team is someone who is a leader but not always by being vocal. I am a person who wants to do everything right on and off the field. I bring a focused, selfless energy that will spread to other players I play with.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My final pitch is that I am a dependable player and out of 55 games in college I never missed one. If you’re looking for a smart player with great technique that will make plays and also play hard without the ball, then I am your guy.
