Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I set goals this season to be more physical with WRs in my man technique and also getting off blocks. I also set a goal to have more communication on the field. Also, to help develop the younger group of DBs in my position helping them understand techniques and different skills. The reason I made these my goals because these were things I needed to improve on that were not as good as my strengths. I feel I accomplished these goals this season.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would say I am a lead by example type of player and also a vocal leader. I work every day and come to play.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When I am watching film, I look for tendencies in the player I will be guarding. As for myself, I look for things I need to improve on wether it’s my disguising, my man technique or tackling.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from other pro prospects in my position is I am very long and lanky corner. I play with very high intensity, I have great speed at my size and am very physical with WRs on the line of scrimmage and in taking on blocks and also making tackles besides my covering skills. I play the ball well in the air and communicate with the defense also.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities will be to sharpen up any tools that need to be sharpened while also getting my body more prepared with yoga, getting training with my trainer in Myron Flowers at the St. James in Maryland, eating right, as well as looking at more film.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
The types of strengths and abilities I will bring to a team is my passion, my communication, as well my knowledge for the game. My leadership and size will also be beneficial at the higher level and I will use it to my advantage. I believe that my Football IQ will be the biggest advantage as well being able to pick up on different schemes and defenses.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
My final pitch to an NFL team would be I am a hard worker, I’m very passionate about the game and I will continue to get better, as well as listen to my coaches and do all things that is asked. I consider playing this sport at the next level a privilege and will treat it as such. Thank you.
