Position: TE
Height: 6’5”

Q: In your final collegiate season, what goals did you accomplish this fall or set for this upcoming spring?

I had multiple goals set for myself. From a team standpoint, the goal was to win a conference championship. Unfortunately, we came up short, but I learned a lot through the adversity of the season. A personal goal of mine was to be able to put myself in a position to compete for a spot at the next level. I am currently training and competing for that and excited to see what the future holds. Another personal goal of mine was to become a better leader and teammate. To not only lead by words, but also by my actions. These are just a few, but I think it’s important to set goals in every aspect of the game. That way you always have something to strive for.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

That’s a question my teammates and coaches could probably answer a little better than I can, but I strive to be a teammate that is a tough, selfless competitor willing to do whatever it takes to see that my team has success. The team always comes first, and if the team is successful, personal success will follow. That is something that I’ve always held dear.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I pay a lot of attention to my explosion off the ball, my initial strike, my hand placement, and my footwork. It is important to be consistent in your craft and that’s something that’s important to me. When it comes to route running, I watch my get off and how crisp my route is to a tee. If the route says 10 yards ensuring I go a full 10 and not cutting it short. If I’m pressed or locked, having a plan pre snap in order to put myself in a position to win the route.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I have experience in multiple areas that a tight end can benefit a team. Whether it be fullback, H-back, attached, spread out, or special teams, I’ve done it all in high level game situations. Also, my work ethic. I will be the hardest worker in the room and always put in the extra effort.

Q: What is your plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities, especially with the virus limiting pro days/training facilities/etc?

I am currently in Texas to compete in the College Gridiron Showcase, but following my departure I will return to Tuscaloosa to continue my training at University of Alabama.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

On the field, I can be used in a variety of ways as stated earlier. I am a leader, but also always willing to learn. I adapt to situations well and am very coachable. Always willing to do whatever my coach needs me to. As far as off the field, I get along with people very well. If my teammate ever needs me at any hour of the night my phone is on. If a coach needs me to come in for an extra film session, I’m there. I think building relationships off the field is just as important as the relationships on the field. It builds team chemistry and ultimately allows further success for everyone involved.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL/CFL or any other professional leagues?

I’m a hard worker who has earned everything that’s been given to me and never shied away from the competition. I will go to work every day with the right mindset and show my abilities in this great sport of football. I’ll buy in to the values and principles of the organization to be the most selfless player I can be and to also maximize my potential to help a team in any way that I can.
