Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
Some of my goals were to have the most productive season I’ve had at school. I also wanted some accolade to display the season I had. I also wanted to play well enough to get into all-star games in order to gain more exposure.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Disciplined, Unselfish, Physical.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I will be training at DASH Performance in Lawrenceville for my pro day at Kennesaw State.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
I tend to study several things. For starters, if the team leaves the audio onto the tape, I try to get the snap count. I then try to focus on which of their interior lineman is the best and which lineman gives away the play by his stand, alignment, etc.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
I believe my strength is what separates me. My strong upper body allows me to lock out blockers and to hold my ground against the double team. It also allows me to push the pocket with the bullrush and to run stunt games with the Defensive Ends.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
On the field, I bring a small school player who is willing to come to work every day regardless of where he is placed to play. Off the field, I bring a strong character and integrity with absolutely no off the field issues.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
I did not start playing football until my junior year of high school. The best football is ahead of me because I am somewhat new to the game. Even though I am a small school guy, physically I compare to players at the FCS and FBS level. With the proper organization and coaching, the sky is the limit for my potential.
