Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
At the end of my collegiate season, I was able to receive All Ivy Honorable mention, finishing the season with 127 tackles, 5 interceptions, and 1 sack.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They’d say I’m a well rounded athlete who doesn’t have a care where you put him because of his mindset. Team first has always been my motto, and they know this from playing with me. My coaches appreciate my ability to be attentive at times when things get rough. My coaches harp on being great at doing the routine things. So if you ask them, they’d tell you I demonstrated this from freshman year to senior year, through all the endeavors.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
Not trying to give away too many gems haha. However I usually start with formation first. Many offenses have tendencies that stay true through formations as well as personnel. From there I go through route recognition and play recognition to help with memorization to build confidence for play.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My work ethic alone helps me stand alone from the other prospects. Right now I’m working on getting stronger and as fast I could, however my work ethic helps me a lot. Also using my smarts to help me is what makes my game unique to me.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
Right now, I’ve been working out 5 days a week to help build strength as well as speed to help me with my skill set up. Four days out of the week have been for strength and conditioning and the other two days of the week are given to skill training, so field work.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
My character is helpful because I know when to create situations in which my teammates and I can form great bonds and relationships that would be beneficial for a team to prosper. This can be for either on the field during practice, such as pre practice or locker room environments, as well as off the field.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
Never judge a book by its cover.
