Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
Some of the goals that I set out to accomplish in 2023 fell out of reach. But above all I wanted to be a good example, leader, and help my team win football games. I played hard all year and contributed heavily in the passing and blocking game with double digit pancaked in 9 games and led the conference in receptions for tight ends.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would likely say that I’m committed to win and will rarely be seen not giving full effort in a game or going hard in practice to prepare and watch film. I refuse to be out worked in whatever I do.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When I watch film, I pay special attention to how teams play coverages or roll them a certain way. How they play other tight ends and what concepts they struggle at stopping.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from other pro prospects is that I spend a lot of time learning the game watching videos studying entire defenses and have a great understanding of terminology and techniques on offense and defense. It really slows the game down for me.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My off-season plan is to train in Charlotte for an upcoming pro day opportunity at velocity sports. And to just keep my training consistent and continue to get better and better everyday in everything I do.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
The strengths and abilities that I will bring to the team are my strength, and determination. I spend a lot of time in the weight room and I am fully committed to making a team better no matter what role I will be in. My ability to create separation and catch footballs is one of my biggest strengths and I will continue to use that no matter where I go.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I’m a difference maker, all you have to do is give me an opportunity and I will always make the most of it.
