Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
A goal I set for myself for my last season was to get closer to God. Getting closer to Him has brought me so far into becoming a man. Of course the journey is still on to continue getting closer to God but I feel I accomplished a lot in terms of following His words.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would say I’m a player and person of integrity. If I say I’m doing something, then I’m going to do it, no matter the difficulty. I would also say that my coaches and teammates will agree that I am a very intelligent football player and a hard worker.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When I study film, I focus on team’s tendencies in certain situations. I also focus on player’s body language to get an idea of what play is coming. I also look at my opponent’s opponent to get an idea what works and doesn’t work against my opponent.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from other linebackers is my football IQ. I’m a very instinctive and smart player, and I feel as if my preparation every week is beyond any linebacker in this Draft class. It shows on film.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My plan for the off-season is to get stronger and faster at a training facility in Davie, FL called, Perform. Also go on a lot of long distance runs to improve my stamina.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
What I will bring to an NFL team is leadership and violence on the football field. You’re looking at someone who will command the field and also gain the respect from my coaches and teammates.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
You’re getting a dawg at the linebacker position. I’m a player that comes every day with the right attitude to get better. I want to get my teammates better and win a Super Bowl ring.
