Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I really wanted to use this season to focus on improving my run blocking and my explosiveness in the pass game also. We also finished with the best record in school history with a first year head coach.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I believe my teammates and coaches know that I was somebody that lead by example and somebody they could count on if we needed a play to be made. Also im a team player, I would always think about the team before I would think about me.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I try to focus on the little things like footwork and technique, I used to watch the NFL TEs and how they moved around and then would try to compare that to how I looked on film.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
Being smart and I also feel like I can move around pretty good to be a tight end. Also having played baseball my whole life until my junior of college, that has helped me with hand eye coordination so that helps alot when its comes to catching the football which I feel like I do a good job at.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I plan on training this off season to work on my flexibility and speed. Also steadily improving my technique and getting ready for my bowl game and Pro Day in the spring so I can showcase my talents to the fullest.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I have always been a team player, never had any problems with a coach my entire life so I feel as that always plays a big part when it comes to creating a positive environment for a team. I will bring passion and dedication to any team that gives me a opportunity.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I am looking for a way to feed my family, so I feel like with the right preparation and an opportunity I will be a steal for whoever gives me that opportunity.
