Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
Coming into my senior season I set a few goals and I accomplished a few. Three of my main goals that I set and accomplished is that I wanted to become a better leader on and off the field, be recognized in the NCAA, and I wanted to become Lakeland University all-time rushing leader, which I accomplished. I ended my senior season second in the nation in yards per Carry.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I believe that they would say that I am a team first guy and that I try to look out for my brothers as much as possible. They would say that I’m one of the hardest workers on and off the field, and I’ll do anything to perfect my craft.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When I study film, I watch other players that have succeeded and try to implement pieces of their game into my game and perfect it as best as I can. Also, I focus on knowing the other teams defense tendencies, movement, and knowing the way their players like to play certain routes. I also look at my mistakes, and the next week at practice I work on what I did wrong and correct it so it won’t happen again.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I feel like what separates me from other pro prospects is that I might not be the biggest and I never will be, but I have the work ethic, speed, determination, and drive to be the best athlete every-time I step on the field. You can put me anywhere on the field, whether it be running back, slot receiver, or outside receiver and I will produce at the highest level as possible. I don’t want to be out worked by any of my opponents.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
This offseason I plan to train with BluePrint Fitness and Performance in Louisiana and also training with a few of my college coaches at Lakeland in Wisconsin. I also will be attending the Poydum All-Star Game that’s in January and located in Miami, Florida. I will be attending the National Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
The strengths and abilities that I feel I would bring to the team is my speed, heart, knowledge, and the passion that I have for playing football. I have the ability to read many different coverages, and read coverages post snap which helps me know what the defense is about to do before the play even happens. Off the field, I build relationships with teammates and coaches because I believe if you’re going to war with each other then y’all are brothers and family. It’s best to have relationships off the field because it helps with chemistry on the field as well.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
My final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues is that if y’all give me an opportunity in y’all organization, I guarantee I won’t make y’all regret it and y’all will get 110% out of me. I’m here to prove everybody wrong who doubted me and said I wouldn’t come this far. I won’t let the opportunity slip out of my hands because I want to be the best to ever do it.
