Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season? 

I had 3 goals that I wanted to achieve: record 10+ sacks, receive 1st All- Conference honors, and win a conference championship. I was only able to accomplish 1 of my goals but I am grateful to be in the position I am in as an HBCU athlete.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches would say that I am a leader, competitor, and a student of the game. My teammates would say that I always put my team first and I lead by example so that the guys under me understand the standard that I’ve always approached the game with.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I watch film on myself as much as I watch the opponent. While watching myself on film I like to evaluate my mistakes to see what can be corrected as far as steps, hands, and how I approached the opponent. While watching my opponent I like to study their tendencies in pass protection as well as run protection. Knowing where they’re hand will be is a big help because now I am able to counter what they bring a lot easier. Knowing the difference in the actual kickstep and when they are baiting me upfield to execute a screenplay.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position? 

I am more than just a pass rusher. I focused my game on stopping the run first while also being able to increase my one on one coverage skills against TE’s & RB’s that’s where I feel I separate from many guys in my position.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My offseason training plan is to become stronger, faster and perfecting my craft

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I will bring tenacity, consistency, pride to any team that finds me and the abilities I will bring is a well rounded game that can fit in any defensive package.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

Whatever you need from me I’m there, it doesn’t matter what the job is. One opportunity is all I need to show I belong on a professional team.
