What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
To have 5+ interceptions, to have a winning season and to be 1st Team All-American, I accomplished all of those goals.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I believe the extra year of eligibility was a huge benefit towards my chances of going pro, it gave me a an extra year to sharpen my physical and mental skills to the game, and to show NFL teams the skillset I can bring to their team.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would say I was a very hard working and dedicated player during the season and also in the off season.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When I study myself on film, I focus on my alignment pre snap and being consistent with my eye discipline. When I study other teams I focus mainly on the QB and his tendencies.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I believe I am the most versatile defensive back in the draft. I have played every position in the secondary, and I also have film playing in the box as a linebacker. I also believe I have the best balls skills compared to any defender in this year’s draft, and my ability to create turnovers for my team is unmatched.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I plan on training in Houston at Armed Sports, will get in the best shape of my life to prepare for my pro day, and hopefully the NFL combine.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I will bring a physical presence in the run game to any secondary; my strengths being a press man/ cover 2 corner, and also a box safety or middle of the field safety. I will also bring leadership tendencies to an organization during the season and also in the off season, respecting the game in every aspect by taking the necessary time to take care of my body and to do my homework to prepare for games.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
If you bring me into your organization, you are getting a smart/high IQ, hard working, very coachable, and unselfish football player who is dedicated to the team and to my his craft. I will come in day in and day out to do my part in making the organization better to win many football games.
Stay down till you come up ????
