Name: Devin Adams
School: Peru State College
Position: Defensive Tackle
Height: 6-0
Weight: 283
Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I was able to receive my third selection of being an All-American. I also was happy to surpass my goal of 50 tackles!
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They would say I’m a player who is dedicated. In every aspect. On and off the field. Dedicated to making the play and dedicated to bringing my brother along with me and spreading any knowledge I may be able to offer.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
The main things I concentrate on fixing are my habits and my tendencies. I try to take all tendencies out and flood my game with fundamentals. I focus on my loses and where I went wrong. Whether it be my get off, my hand placement or my decision making.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I am a player who desires to play a position that I am over looked and undersized. I have more than something to prove. I’m not in a comfortable position with what I’m about to go into but I’m more than ready for the challenge. I’m here to show every coach and scout in attendance that I’m here to stay and I mean it when I say I’m a defensive tackle!
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I plan on training at a great facility in Davie, Florida, called Perform. There I will work my craft and prepare my body for our schools pro-day and a bowl game I recently was invited to on January 6th called the Poydum Bowl.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I will bring athleticism, I will bring motor, and I will bring excitement. I will bring energy and another version of want to. I will work hard day in and day out and show the upmost happiness and excitement because I will be playing a game I love as a job. I will bring the ability of being genuine. From hard workouts to giving back to the community, I will be genuine in my approach and intent. I will be a hard worker and not someone who works hard. I will be available and present in every occasion not just when the time calls. For a specific tool. I will bring everything. Every time.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I am here to become undeniable. No matter how you put it in the books, no matter how you draw it up on the board; there is no denying I need to be on that field. I am here to work with no end in mind and no limit to what can be accomplished. Let’s Works!
