Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
A few goals that I set and, in my opinion, managed to accomplish were to be a better leader and grow as a man and father. I also wanted to be first team all conference. I’m super proud about accomplishing that goal.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches would say that I am a really good football player and they know that I am always striving to improve as a player. My teammates would say that I am dependable on the field. I’m brutally honest, but I just want us all to improve.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I focus more on the passrush moves, in order to, finish with a sack and I’m looking to see if my hand placement is correct. I try to make sure that my knees are bent and I am ready, but this is still a work in progress.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I know that I can play the run better than most and I can be a true nose guard for a team.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I want to get in the best shape possible. I would like to cut a little weight, tone, and add more strength.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
As I said previously, I know that my strength is something I can bring to a team. I have been strong consistently throughout my life. I believe I can play the run better than most and off the field I am a dependable teammate and a good quality person overall.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I know that I am not a top prospect and I have things I need to work on like getting to the quarterback. As a defensive tackle who can play true nose guard, I know I will be able to stop runs and clog holes. I can be a steal and valuable to a team.
