Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

In my final collegiate season, I set out to transition to FBS and proved that I can compete at the highest level of college football. I transferred to Liberty from Stephen F. Austin State U. my last year of college and left my mark in one lone season with the flames. The goal was to produce more than I have in the previous years and bond with new teammates.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would agree that I’m consistent, twitchy, physical, and relentless.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When watching film, I watch my self and interior OL of the opposing team. I watch myself to pick up on any flaws and strive to correct them. That can include false steps, wasted movement, hands not in the right place, pad level, etc. When I watch the interior OL, I watch how they work together and individually. These tendencies can range from the depth of their hands in pass pro, where their weight is balanced in their stance, footwork, their point of attack, etc. Ultimately, I seek what is exposed in the trenches.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me from other prospects in my position is that I’m a student of the game. I come with no baggage, and I devote my life to my craft. This is plan A and plan B. On top of that, I believe that I have progressively been getting better each and every season (Mentally and physically).

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

This off-season I have been training at Total Performance Fitness with Coach Leroy Franklin in Houston, TX. Not only do I workout, but I work on my body at the facility as well. I’m also on a meal plan that has been benefiting my body. I’m sharpening my body and getting stronger in order compete with the best.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I believe I bring a sense of formality on and off the field. As a defensive tackle, I believe that we are the tip of the spear of the defense. Because of this, I carry myself as a God fearing example to not only lead on the field, but off the field as well. It will be my duty to soak up as much knowledge of the game as possible and pass it on the next one who comes along.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

It’s a privilege, not a right, to play this game that we love. I have and will never take it for granted. I vow to do any and everything I can to help a team reach a Super Bowl/championship.
