Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

In my final season of collegiate football, I set out to be voted captain by my teammates and receive all league honors, both of which I accomplished.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would describe me as a tenacious leader who plays every snap with maximum effort and energy.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When I watch film of myself, I watch very small details of each of my reps like my hand strike and hand position at the point of attack or where my eyes are throughout the play. When I watch film of my opponent, I also look for very small details like where an offensive lineman’s helmet is located based on run versus pass or what kind of personnel is in the box on certain downs and distances.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I believe my relentless effort and versatility on the defensive line separate me from other pro prospects at my position. On my film, you will not only see me make effort tackles 30 yards down field, but you will also see a defensive lineman capable of playing nose guard, defensive tackle, and defensive end.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My offseason plan is to continue to work with my strength and conditioning coach to best prepare for certain combine analytic tests. Also, I will continue to improve my game by recording my on field football workouts to analyze my reps throughout the duration of the spring.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

As a player, teams will get a leader who will play with relentless effort while working everyday to reset the standard and raise the bar around the program. Off the field, teams will get a great teammate who values relationships at every level and works toward building a cohesive program from top to bottom.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

Based on my college career, any team who gives me an opportunity at the next level knows they are going to get a leader who will play with relentless effort. Off the field, teams can expect a diligent teammate who isn’t afraid to reset the standard on a daily basis.
