Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
The main goal going into the season was to win the conference championship. Unfortunately we didn’t complete that goal, but we were one of the top defenses and that was another goal I wanted the team to reach.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
I would describe my style of play as physical, high motored, and disruptive.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I will be training at Salisbury University. Using those facilities brought me success. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
I first find out if my keys have changed for the week and I base everything off of that. So if it’s the end man on the line, I’m looking at their stances and seeing if they are giving away the play before the snap. I also like to look at RB depth and their running styles. For Receivers, I look at their stance and their release. For Quarterbacks, I’m looking to see what kind of reads he make. Is he a one read guy or can he sit in the pocket.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
I don’t take any plays off. I am a guy that always wants to be around the ball. I get involved in the run game as well as the pass game. Being undersized does not stop me from going down in the box, and keeping the same physicality.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I am a coachable player first and foremost. I have a excellent support system that makes sure I’m always doing the right things and on the field, I’m going to give full effort every play, including practice plays.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
I am a selfless guy that puts his team’s success over individual success. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to help the team be successful. If you want a player that is going to give you his all on the field as well as off the field, in the community, I’m your guy.
