Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?
A goal my team and I accomplished in the 2018 season was having the opportunity to play in the NCAA playoffs. Sadly, we came up short, but we were blessed to have an opportunity to be apart of it.
Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?
My coaches would say I am a hard worker and a leader that loves to play football.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When I watch film, I really try to understand the opponent’s tendencies. When they like to blitz and what are some keys to when they are blitzing. Also, the coverages the defense likes to run in certain situations. For special teams, I like to understand what the Punter and Kickers tendencies are. See where they like to place the football and how far their kicks go. Also, see how the coverage unit is as a whole.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
I feel what separates me is my versatility. I have played every skill position on the offensive side of the ball. I finished with 1,500 receiving yards in my career which is pretty rare as a RB. I can play on all special teams units and not just as return man. I do not have to have the ball in my hands to contribute in a game. Whether it is run or pass blocking on offense or making a play on special teams.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
My training will consist of me working on becoming more explosive and stronger. I will continue to work on my route running and catching so I have an opportunity to play as a 3rd down back. Also, watching film to continue to develop and understand the game.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I am a competitive player and I am willing to do whatever the team needs me to do to win. Trying to make myself and my teammates better at all times. Whether thats in the film room, weight room or on the field.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
The team is getting a hardworking leader that will do anything it takes to win. Because of my athleticism, I can play almost any position on the field at anytime, wherever the team needs me. Also, I love every aspect of the game of football.
