Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
In my final collegiate season, setting goals isn’t really the goal of your final season. The goal of my final season was playing every play like it was my last, and leading young men, so that they could take over when I left being, a Covid redshirt senior, it gave me a lot of insight to things that most people don’t probably notice at a young age so I wanted to be the guy that everybody could come to an. I wanted to be a team player not just a player who wanted their stats padded.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
The impression that I hope I left on my teammates and coaches is that I would do anything for them no matter what. I hope if they had to describe me, they would describe me as a hard worker, willing to learn and open to anything.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
Each play that I watch takes time to watch because I focus on hand placement. I focus on my feet I focus on my pad level. I focus on how fast my get off was I focus on did I react to the play correctly, and so much more watching film is vital to being a good athlete.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I can play any position in the box, you can put me anywhere and I can do it and I can do it fast I used to play tight end and full back before I switched over to defensive end so if you need me to go do that I can do that also, I’m very versatile on the field.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I am going to continue to get faster and stronger right now I am competing in my last track and field season and while doing that my focus is still getting faster and getting stronger and working my hands so that my hands are faster so I can fight hands better.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I am a people person. I would never put a teams front office in a bad spot. They would never have a problem with me. I go to bed early. I’m not really a bar scene type of guy I’m not really into the club I’m a people person who is lowkey and just loves the weight room.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
Just give me a shot and I’ll show you how hard I can work. You can put me anywhere on the field that you feel you need someone and I will go to battle every single play at 100% for you and I know that’s said a lot but I truly mean it because I just love football.
