What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I set the goals to be better than I was last season, I wanted to help my team be successful each and every week! I set the goal to be National Champions and conference champions and be All Conference. We fell short on the conference and national championship, but I achieved my All conference selection goal this season!
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I feel I used this year to elevate my play and showed that I can compete at the next level I feel I had a great season this year and coming from a lower D2 school I feel I made a name for myself this year and proved a lot of doubters wrong!
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I think my coaches and teammates would say I’m a team first type of player and I will stop at nothing to be successful. I think they would say I am one of the hardest working and determined players that they have coached or played with! I will compete at all times no matter who’s across from me a fierce competitor for sure!
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
The main thing I study is my opponent I look at their tendencies what things they do that I can take advantage of. I also study my play I breakdown the plays and what I could’ve done better in that play whether it be ran the route a little better, blocked a little longer or even.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from others at my position is how I versatile I am at the position I can be used anywhere on the field, I have knowledge for every skilled position on the field being a Quarterback coming out of high school turned Receiver. And being an undersized player I have had to work harder than everyone else because smaller players often get overlooked.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I plan to put on a few pounds and get faster and more quicker to help me at the level! I am also going to become more flexible with the program that I will be going through this off-season!
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
The strengths I will bring on the field will be my knowledge for the game and being able to find openings in the defense and getting to the open spot! And I am a very fast learner so I will learn the offense very fast and become very acquainted with the scheme of the offense/defense! Off the field I would say bringing a team player that is always willing to learn from his peers and willing to work day in and day out!
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I am a player that’s just hungry for a chance to show that I can play at the next level and will do anything needed to make it to the next level! Coming from a smaller school it is harder to receive a lot of exposure for your efforts throughout the season, but I will be a great asset to whatever team takes a chance!
