Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?
Unfortunately, we were not able to accomplish our goal of winning a conference championship and bowl game, but we as seniors were able to accomplish our goal of becoming the winningest class in Temple history with 35 wins.
Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?
I think my coaches would say I am an unselfish and reliable player. I can be counted on to do my job to my fullest ability whether I am the primary target or I am needed to make a block to spring someone else.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When watching film of myself I focus on the technical aspects of my game, including stance, footwork, hand placement, helmet placement. Pretty much just try to figure out what can be improved on each rep. When studying opponents I like to focus on tendencies, keys that give away blitzes or coverages, and I run through what my job would look like on certain plays against the picture I am seeing.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
I think I am different from most tight ends in the fact that I actually enjoy being in the trenches and battling with defensive linemen just as much as I enjoy being in space and running routes. I think it gives me a sense of versatility that can keep me on the field.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I have been training with the strength staff at Temple University as well as with an outside training service, ProBing Elite, also located in the Philadelphia area.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I believe I bring a detailed work ethic that will stand out on and off the field. I try to do all the little things right and not take any short cuts in anything I do.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
If given the chance to join an organization you will be getting someone who is a quick learner, great teammate, and versatile player. I am very coachable and try to get better every day on and off the field.
