Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
The goals I had set for this collegiate season was to win a conference ring, be a All-American and make a run in playoffs.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
Very energetic and outspoken. Love to be active in practice and games as much as possible physically and also mentally. Communication is not only key in football, but also in life and I think that’s one of my best traits as a football player.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
Timing. Timing is key in everything you do. If you are a split second off from doing anything in football that’s difference between a sack, a big gain or also a touchdown, etc. My QB coach in college (Boo Jackson) stressed to us quarterbacks the Stick – Ball technique, when the receiver sticks/breaks his route the ball needs to come out. Anticipation is key at the Quarterback position. Also, I would say coverages. Knowing what coverage you are going against is very crucial because that’s what you are adjusting to or also calling plays off of to score on offense.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
Heart and competitiveness! I have the heart of a lion and am willing to do anything to win. I hate to lose more than I love to win.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
Train with a local guy named Patrick Coyne over at Black Sheep Performance to improve my craft and get physically bigger.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Loyalty and leadership. I’ve always been faithful to the people I love and if a team were to invest in a player like myself then I would grind for them and put everything on the line for them. Leading by example has always been a major factor in my life and I would say I do a great job on and off the field!
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
All I need is one team to give me a shot or tryout and I will run with that opportunity! Willing to invest myself and my body for a team willing to invest in me!
