Chad Price: 2020 Pro Prospect Interview

Name: Chad Price
School: West Georgia
Position: DE/OLB
Height: 6’3″
Weight: 255

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My personal goals for my senior season were to be selected as Captain for the 2nd season in a row, earn All-American honors and be the GSC Defensive Player of the Year. I was voted Captain by my teammates for the 2nd straight year, but I did not accomplish my other two goals. I aim high in everything I do and for me I enjoy the process of trying to achieve goals.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say that I am an extension of the coaching staff on the field. They would say I am a leader and I work hard every single day. They would say that I am unselfish and I love the team and that I would sacrifice for the betterment of the team.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I learned from my coaches that it is vital to study small tendencies when watching film. I watch plays over and over again and in doing this it helps me pick up on cues. I often like to watch the stances that the opposing offensive lineman get into in different situations. I watch how they line up on first down and then I watch to see if their stance changes on 2nd or 3rd. Picking up on little things like this helps me play fast and gives me and my teammates an advantage.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I believe my character separates me from competition. I take pride in how I present myself off the field because showing people respect goes a long way. In professional sports, everyone is athletic, but If a person does not conduct themselves like a professional in all other phases in life, they will not make it far.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

This off-season I trained at U48 in Lawrenceville, GA. Manny Rodriguez and BJ Clay train me and have been preparing me for the opportunities that are to come in the near future.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

On the field, I believe my quickness and hand usage will allow me to stand out. I am constantly working to expand my arsenal and to improve my explosion. Off the field, my leadership and accountability speak for themselves. I will conduct myself like the professional that I am and nothing can change that.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

I am looking forward to playing football professionally, because I truly love this game and I have ever since I started playing at 8 years old. I am an unselfish leader who will do whatever it takes to win. When adversity hits, I do not break because I understand that this game and life go hand in hand. Football is life.
