Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
Coming into the season we had high expectations here in team and personal goals. I set out to be the best Nickel in the conference and thankfully my peers felt I was the best at my position. I was granted first team all conference honors and hoping to gain more.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
Extremely passionate for the game of football while having an extremely high IQ.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When studying film, I like to look at the small minor details such as your first step, or your peddle getting out of your cylinder because those are the differences between making a play and giving one up. Along with, when studying others what are their tendencies? How do they line up when they run certain plays or certain routes? Does the quarterback rub his towel before every pass play or every play in general? These are things I need to know.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I feel my IQ, along with my passion, is what will separate me from other pro scouts. I happen to be extremely intelligent when it comes to the game of football and I am still a student of the game and would love to keep learning.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I train with a professional trainer here in Arizona. My plan is to keep my body in shape and ready to go when a team calls by working out with players who play for the arizona cardinals.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
My leadership on and off the field first and foremost. everywhere I’ve been i’ve been thrust into a leadership role. Secondly, once again my IQ for the game allows me to help get my teammates lined up and know their assignment along with 9/10 I also know the play of the offense. I’m extremely passionate, hardworking, and willing to do anything for a win.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I’m an undersized guy who has found a way to make it where ever he was at. At the division 1 level, all the way to the division 2 level. I’ve quickly learned that my ability to see things before they happen and make plays myself along with putting my teammates in positions to make plays have me ultra excited to see how i can transfer this knowledge and IQ of the game to the pro level to showcase my talents there as well.
