Name: Bryce Witt
School: Chowan University
Position: QB
Height: 6’3”
Weight: 235
What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
Some of the goals I set for the season were to win conference Player Of The Year, break the conference career touchdowns record, and win the conference championship. I won the conference player of the year. I also tied the conference career total touchdowns record tying Amir Hall with 127. We came up a little short on the conference championship but ended the season with the best record in school history which was a great way to go out.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
Our conference didn’t play in the 2020 season so we practiced a lot that fall and spring, and were able to take steps forward as a team and individually as players. Personally, having that year off just drove me and motivated me to push even harder than I ever had before.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would say I’m a competitive, passionate player who hates to lose and loves the game of football.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I do a lot of self evaluation in the off season. It’s one of the things that helps me grow year to year. One thing I believe I can improve on is sitting in the pocket even when it is breaking down and delivering a strike for a completion.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My size at the QB separates me from others. I’m 235 pounds, and I am able to break out of a lot of sacks in the pocket and extend plays very easily.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I am training at DefyGenetics with Roger Riggle and QB training with Undefeated QB training with Malcolm Bell. Both have helped me make improvements, and I’m feeling the best I ever have right now; physically and throwing the ball.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
On the field, I will be bringing a playmaker at the QB position who can make every throw on the field. A leader who loves to get out there and compete. Off the field, I am someone who is going to work my tail off to continue to grow and get better each and every day.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
If you want a guy who is going to get out there, make plays and help his team win at all costs, then I am your guy.
