Brock Geisz: 2020 Pro Prospect Interview

Name: Brock Geisz
School:  William Jewell
Position: LB
Height:  6’0″
Weight: 215

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

One of my goals for this season was to help my team win games any way I could. Whether it be on the defensive side of the ball or on special teams. Getting stats, highlights and all-conference is great, but if you don’t win games then to me it really doesn’t mean much. Also, I wanted to get better at something everyday, on or off the field.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I believe my coaches and teammates would say I am extremely dedicated and a hard worker. I like to joke around and have fun, but when’s it’s time to go to work, I lock in and focus on what needs to be done.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

The biggest thing I look at when studying film is tendencies. Every opponent has certain tendencies, and if I can find them it allows me to play much faster and smoother because I can see what is coming before it happens.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

Versatility and the ability to adapt. I have played a number of different positions throughout my college career. I can play in the box or out in coverage. I have the athleticism to play anywhere on the field and can adapt to any defensive scheme.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My brother is going to be training me this offseason. I am focusing on getting bigger, faster, stronger and more powerful. The guys playing at the next level are incredible athletes and I need to continue getting better in every facet of the game if I am going to be competing against them.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

On the field I bring versatility, athleticism, work ethic, passion and leadership. Off the field I focus on building relationships with my teammates. I think it’s incredibly important to build relationships with teammates because it forms a bond between one another and I know that I can trust them in any situation and they can trust me.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

Having to overcome odds is nothing new to me. Everything I have I’ve earned through hard work and dedication. Any organization that gives me a chance is going to get an extremely dedicated, passionate and hardworking individual. I’m prepared to work and ready prove that I belong on the field with the best. I’m ready to give everything for an organization that is willing to take a chance in me.
