Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
Our team goals were to repeat and build on the success we had during the 2021 season. My personal goals were to get better every day and continue to do as many jobs for the team as I could to show my abilities to the next level.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I believe my coaches and teammates would say I am a tough, hardworking, and versatile player who goes all out every play. Starting out as a walk-on, I worked for every opportunity to get on the field no matter what the role was; therefore, my ability to play multiple positions is due to my desire to do what is best for the team.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I not only look at the tendencies of the opponent’s scheme and players, but also at my technique and where I can improve upon. Whether it is my pad level, hand placement, footwork, or anything else. I always try to see how I can be better on every play.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My versatility and effort separate me from everyone else. I have had the opportunity to play all across the line during my time at Baylor as well as being a starter or backup on four special teams’ phases. On top of all of this, also being a backup long snapper for the team.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
This offseason I signed with Nathan Shackelford of Higher Calling Sports and worked out with John Nwisienyi in Dallas. The plan was to lose a few pounds to do the best we could on pro day and move better overall. We accomplished this by having a good pro day, and now I am working on getting in the best shape I can be in for the next opportunity.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
What I bring to the table is tenacity, effort, and knowledge of the game. I do everything on the field with full effort and don’t take plays off. This also relates to off the field because I am intentional with everything I do in life and I do not take anything for granted.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
If you’re looking for a player who is smart enough to play many different positions and go all out every play. I’m your guy. Whether that is as a D lineman, Edge defender, Fullback, long snapper, or special teams’ player. I have the ability to perform all of these positions at a high level and can be an asset to any organization.
