Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I had some personal goals that weren’t obtained by myself that were pretty lofty, but I did end up being an all-conference selection and had a successful season with me not missing any games. The goal that I did set that was more of a team goal instead of a goal for myself, was winning conference and I am extremely proud of that especially knowing that this is the first time in school history that this has happened at Western Oregon.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I am a tough player. I will play and do anything for my teammates to bring success to us as a whole. No matter how I feel, I will do my best to give my all in any and every aspect of the game.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

Outside of focusing on myself and correcting my mistakes that I may make whether it be my alignment, assignment, or even my eyes in practice or a game, I focus on my opponent. When I say I focus on my opponent, I am looking at tendencies from the receivers to the quarterbacks to even the way the linemen may lean or have their heads tilted indicating different potential plays. It’s all important in getting an advantage over the opponent.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My want to. I feel as though I just play this game for so much more than myself. There are people I play for and I want to put my family in a situation where one day they’ll never have to want for anything anymore. I also play for God knowing that he’s blessed me to be able to do what I love for so long and it’s a gift, so I feel as though my gift back to him is giving my all and giving him all the glory for all of my accomplishments.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I have a couple of places in mind in terms of training facilities, but I feel as though the final decision will be when I hire an agent. I feel that it is important to get their input in for what’s best for me just in terms of me being successful for pro day as well as my career.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I would have to say my work ethic and my ability to shut down an entire side of the field playing my position. I will work to the point where I know I am prepared and have the advantage over my opponent. Being that “shutdown” corner, I will know my opponent from their alignment, tendencies, to even the way they come off of the ball in run/pass pro in order to win my matchup which will ultimately help us be more successful as a team and I believe that’s what I provided this year for our team, helping us win our school’s first ever conference championship.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

I’m more than thankful for the position that God has put me in today to accomplish my dreams and I have never wanted anything more than to make this dream of mine come true. With this being said, I will do anything and everything that I can in order to make it come true. Wherever a team would like to put me and whatever they would like me to do, I won’t second guess any of it. I know that whatever is being asked of me is to help the team and help maximize my potential, so I am all for it. I’m ready to work and prove that I am right there in hanging with the best of them.
