Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
Some of my goals leading into my final collegiate season were to help lead my team to a Conference Championship and ultimately a National Championship. I also had goals of being an All-Conference player in which I was blessed to accomplish, and also try to be an All-American. I also had goals of just constantly learning how to continue to be a good leader and good teammate.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Physical, Consistent, Ball-Hawking.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
To prepare, I will be training at AccelerationPro in Naperville, Illinois that specializes in Pro-Day, Draft Prep, and position training.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
First, I study and try to break down Quarterback’s strengths and weaknesses and any tendencies that may give a slight edge. Next, I look at Receivers and how they run their routes, get in and out their breaks, etc. Then, I look at the Running Backs and blocking schemes.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
I would say my ability to tackle in space, versatility being able to play in the box and over the top, and football IQ separates me from other players at my position.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Leadership skills and being a man of good character are assets that I bring to the table. Also, my will to win and do whatever needed to be an asset to the team mentality.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
Whoever invests in me would be getting a steal & they will see this through my play and character. I’m very versatile & will do whatever it takes to win. I’ll play my role to the best of my ability whether it be special teams or defense or both. I have been underestimated my whole life & i take pride in proving myself & proving other people wrong.
