Brad Dennis: 2020 Pro Prospect Interview

Name: Brad Dennis
School: Campbell
Position: P/Holder
Height: 6’2″
Weight: 225

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I set out to make sure that I was able to help my team win games in any way I could if that meant helping hold for field goals or by making sure to flip the field every punt, making it easier for my defense. I would say that I achieved these goals this year with my punting average and also my punts inside the 20. I would also add that my talents have been noticed by many of the different senior bowl games that I’ve played in and been invited to this offseason.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They would say I’m reliable and funny and able to switch back and forth with taking moments seriously or enjoying the little things. Which I think is essential when it comes to a good teammate.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

Well, as a punter and holder, it’s all about the small details of my game. Such as how I catch the ball and how I take my steps, and my drop and swing all effect my punt, and if one of these three things is off, it could change everything, which is important to study.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My desire to be the very best I can be and never feeling as though I’m satisfied or that I’ve made it. I’m continually trying new things to improve my game or trying different punting drops to learn new punts. It also helps that I’m left-footed.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

As of now, I’m hoping to join the coaching staff at Campbell to help the specialist out and also allowing me to stay around and train and prepare for any opportunities that I may receive at the next level.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

As a good teammate and friend and good man, I think my ability to help not only my team but my local area where the team is located. I think every professional athlete should take part in helping their city or state in any way that they can.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

I need one chance to prove my worth to any professional team.
