Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I wanted to establish myself as a leader and someone who could direct traffic on the backend. I felt like my preparation each week allowed me to do so and put other guys in successful situations by being vocal and alerting things.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
That I’m a smart, physical football player who loves the game and is a hard worker.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
To improve my game I try to look at everything. I first see if I am doing my assignment then from there I look at my demeanor and pad level and effort. To improve my game even more I prepare for the week by watching opponents film and breakdown. I look at Formations, down and distance, tendencies with a QB look and where the back might be offset.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from other pro prospects is my knowledge of the game and understanding of tendencies. I feel like from how I prepare during the week I have really good instincts on game day.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My offseason plan has been to get as strong and fast as possible. But I have really been embracing myself around football. Watching a lot of film to understand more and visualize myself in certain situations to make plays.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I think my leadership and character is what will stand out to others on and off the field. I’m a guy that is about his business and gets his work done.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL/CFL or any other pro leagues?
That I’m ready. I am an explosive athlete with a good instincts and an understanding of the game. I’m all in in where and what I do.
