Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I wanted to break the interception record at the school. I ended up tying the record with 10 INTs. I also wanted to just be me and learn to not compare myself and be comfortable in my body. I felt that I got close to this feeling and I’m still building on it but it feels good to know who you are.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They would say that I am a leader and that I never back down from anything. I always been the little guy in the front of the line and I feel like the front is where God wants me, so I always have to step up to the plate.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I study film daily. It can be 3am, 8am, or 6pm, I am literally a student of the game and watch football all day. I watch league film and I try to key certain players that I feel have my demeanor. When I watch film I focus on the details like tempo and eye progression. Understanding where my head should be during the play improves how fast a person plays. Us players rarely run a 40 yard dash in the game, but your mind must be able to move that fast on instinct.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me from other prospects is I am a leader and a field general. Let me explain. I increase everyone’s play when I am in the film room or on the field. I feel God put me here to give to others. I know how to rally up the troops and bring a team together. I’m an all star myself but my job is to make everyone around me all stars and encourage them to surpass their limits.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

To get closer to the Lord. He already knows the plan; I’m just trying to figure it out. In addition I will train and study film daily so I’m always ready, but my biggest focus is learning and getting closer to the Lord, so he can put me in position to take advantage of what ever opportunity comes my way.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

My leadership. That’s something that I had since I was 8 years old and this always been my biggest attribute. Understanding there are 4 stages of leadership is important and I’ve been a student to learn and become all four. In addition I have a high motor. So, when I put the pads on, it’s inedible that they make noise.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I just need one shot and I can live with the results. I pray that all of the coaches in the NFL like me but all I need is just one of you to believe in me. See you guys soon!
