Alex Ogle: 2019 Draft Prospect Interview

Name: Alex Ogle
School: Tusculum/Arizona Western/Boise State
Position: QB
Height: 6’4″
Weight: 226

Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

Junior year, I threw for a little over 2000 yards, 14 TD’s, several offensive conference player of the week honors. Senior year, I was pre season All American, but unfortunately suffered a mild concussion and knee injury early. After working my way back, I ended up missing the last 3 games due to a torn ligament in my ankle.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

I believe my coaches would say I’m the hardest worker on and off the field, I am coachable, and I put the team first.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When I study film, I watch practice and grade myself on the reads I made, how accurate my throws were, and if I need to clean up any footwork. Then, I watch game film of the team I am playing that week. I take notes on the type of defense they run, their top coverages on each down, and player matchups.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

What separates me from other QBs is my size, arm strength, and quick decision making.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I am training at Cressey Sport Performance and will soon be flying out to Arizona to train with QB coach Rudy Carpenter for my pro day.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

My strengths I bring to the table are NFL size, NFL arm, and NFL Pro style decision making. I am a leader on and off the field.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

All I need is a shot to prove myself. Football isn’t just a game to me, it’s a job. I am a perfectionist and I take great pride in my work. No one out works me because no one wants it as bad as me.
