Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
In my final season I accomplished being a captain on my team and just being the leader that I felt I always have been. Aside from that I also accomplished being a utility player which I always felt I have been.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would say that I am someone who is very mature, hard working and selfless. Not only that, they would say that I am someone who plays a lot bigger than what I actually am.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
Being someone who played in all kinds of different spots I studied a variety of tendencies on film. In the run game I always watched how physical Tight ends and tackles were and if they gave away anything that would let me know if it was pass or run pre snap. In the pass game I would study formations and what route concepts they ran out of them, as well as any tendencies that the slot receivers had when blocking or running routes. I really dissect the game as best as I can if I’m being honest. From formations, splits, DND and even to where we were on the field.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
On Paper I am not the biggest body, but I really feel like I can do it all. I can contain the edge against guys twice my size, blitz, play man on man in the slot and even cover the deep half, quarter or third.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My plan is to just continue to work how I always have, nothing has ever came easy for me so all I ever have done and will do is continue to work.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I bring leadership to any group of men I surround myself with, I am a natural born leader. I feel that people are drawn to me because of my work ethic not only on the field but off the field as well. Any team that would be willing to give me a chance will get someone who will do whatever it takes for the team to win.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My last words would be, take a chance on me. I started playing football at the age of 15 and it was never easy. All of my athletic abilities that I’ve acquired up to this point weren’t God given natural abilities, I was blessed with a work ethic that is unmatched and that is what has gotten me where I am today. I will continue to work and sharpen my skills on and off the field until I get my opportunity.
