Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

My main goal coming into the season was to be a great leader. I believe I accomplished that as well as following up my junior season by repeating 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-Region and 3rd Team All-American.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

They would say I’m undersized just like every scout will tell you. But I’m the hardest working guy in the room and understand the game in a deep way. I believe anyone whose watched me play would also tell you I play nasty!

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When watching myself, I’m making sure I’m taking the correct footwork and use my hands to the best of my ability. Offensive Line is about angles and numbers so making sure you’re putting yourself in position to be successful is extremely important. When doing opponent scouting I like to watch the subtle giveaways the defense will give when they are going to blitz/twist/slant/stunt. I also like to watch how they react when they get tired. This is when I can exploit them and watch their body cues for those hints.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

I’m undersized so I have to be one of the smartest players on the field. My film preparation and relentless strength and conditioning allows me to separate myself from other players.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I’m currently training at The Bullitt Experience in Rowlett.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I try to be extremely coachable. I think I will be able to pick up the playbook relatively fast. I’ll give it 100% in all aspects it takes to be a pro. From diet/nutrition, rest, training, film prep and anything else being a pro entails!

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

I’m not going to jump off the board with my height and weight however I believe all my other measurables will show that I am capable of being a professional athlete. If I’m picked up by a professional team you will be getting a guy who knows how to grind and is in love with it. There’s nothing better than playing football. This is the opportunity of a lifetime and I’m willing to do anything to achieve it.
