Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

The goals I accomplished heading into my final season was making pre season all big 12. Starting every game. Get at least 2 pancakes every game.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

My coaches will tell you I’m a physical, passionate player. I play with my heart and soul every single play. I play angry, but I channel my anger in the right direction. They will also tell you I’m an intelligent player. I will make every single call on the line.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When I’m studying film on myself, I’m my own worst critic. My offensive line coach Charlie Dickey taught me how to be that way. Even if I drive a man 20 yards down the field, but my hands aren’t inside, it’s a negative. I focus on my footwork, am I taking the right steps. I look at my eyes, making sure they are in the right places at all times. I look at how I identify blitz’s and coverages with my hand signals. I look at my physicality off at the point of attack. I also look at my pad level (which not a lot of Olineman do) and my punch. If I’m studying a defensive lineman, I’m looking at everything. His pad level, his hand placement, his first step, his favorite pass rush move, how he reacts to down blocks. Does he have active hands, does he have a motor, does he get tired, does he get in a lighter stance when he is stunting, does he stand straight up on twist. All of that.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

What separates me from the other players is that I’m not going to make the technical mistakes most lineman make. I’m going to be aggressive and fight every snap. I’m going to dump a grown man on his head. I’m a really smart player also, I’ll learn a whole playbook in a day. It’s always been one of my strengths.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

This offseason, I’m training with Terry Grossetti and Grossetti performance out in New Castle, PA. Terry is an awesome guy and he is going to have me in the best shape of my life. I’m going to drop about 10 pounds and get stronger overall. I want to look like a totally different person.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

One of the strengths I will have off the field will be my ability to not get in trouble. I don’t get in trouble or cause attention. I’m not a diva or anything like that. I will never fail a drug test, I don’t drink or none of that. I will get in the community and do work. I will take care of my teammates on and off the field. I will bring class and value to your football team. On the field, I will bring a physical presence and a leadership presence. Even if I am not a team captain, I will lead in a different way.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

My final pitch to all those professional teams is PICK ME UP! I will dump a grown man on his head and absolutely enjoy it. If you want a smart, nasty player I’m right here!
