Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

As a transfer athlete, I faced unique challenges, but setting and achieving these goals helped me make the most of my final collegiate season. First was adjusting to a new system and team. I focused on learning the playbook, building relationships with my new teammates and coaches, and adapting to the team’s culture. Additionally being able to earn a bigger role in games. I had to work hard in practice and training to demonstrate my skills and earn a starting spot in the lineup by week two. Furthermore contributing to team success I aimed to make a positive impact on the team’s overall performance because performance is the only true measurement of ability.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would likely describe me as mature, dedicated, and a smart player. They would say that I bring a high level of energy and enthusiasm to practice and games. They would also mention that I’m a good communicator and a supportive teammate, always willing to offer encouragement and guidance to my fellow teammates. Additionally, they would say that I’m a reliable and dependable player who can be counted on in big moments.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I always critique myself the hardest. Only I know the measurements of my ability and hold myself to that standard no matter the circumstance. When breaking down film as an offensive player I understand that I need to know the defense. Knowing defensive fronts, schemes, gaps, zones, coverages and personnel helps me play faster by trusting my eyes and reacting.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My size and versatility separates me from other prospects at my position. Being able to play multiple positions and the willingness to adapt to personnel and packages sets me apart from other prospects.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My plan is to keep on attacking everyday. Whether that’s weights, agility, conditioning, position drills, or just becoming more knowledgeable and networking. The opportunity of a lifetime lasts in the lifetime of the opportunity and you never know when that opportunity will happen so staying prepared is essential so it doesn’t pass you by.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

My strengths throughout my career have been my ability to get a first down. Whenever my team needed me and we had to have it there was no doubt that I was going to go get it by any means. I’ve got a natural ability to lead and motivate others by example. I’m dedicated to improve my skills by learning and accepting constructive criticism because at all times I am competing aginst perfection. I prioritize the team’s success over individual accomplishments because no one man is above the team. I’m quick to adjust to new situations, schemes, and teammates. I bring a contagious enthusiasm and positive energy that lifts the team’s morale. I’m passionate about giving back and making a positive impact off the field to help the community. These strengths and abilities will make me a valuable addition to any team, both on and off the field.
