Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I set some lofty goals heading into the season and was confident in my ability to achieve them with my team. I wanted to help our team win a MAC championship and a Bowl game as well as be one of the top kickers in the country. I was unable to fully accomplish these in my last year, but learned a lot from the tough season and have become an overall better player because of it.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They often praise me for my consistency, especially in my daily process and my work ethic, as well as how hard I work and how smart I work. The way I have done this is leading by example everyday and keeping the mindset of trying to improve everyday and that I can do anything I put my mind to.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

Watching film on myself I try to look for things that can become bad habits or that appear inconsistent from rep to rep. Watching film on other kickers I like to look at ways that they create power and for certain positions that all elite kickers hit in their swing.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I am able to separate myself from other kickers in my ability to handle pressure. The higher pressure the situation the more focused I feel and I believe this stems from my roots as a goalie in hockey and always feeling most confident on breakaways and in tight games, which developed into my confidence on high pressure kicks.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I plan to train with my kicking coach Adam Tanalski, to prepare for the Hula Bowl, the Zauner Combine, Pro Day, and any other opportunities that present themselves. This includes a well designed weight training program specifically to focus on kicking as well as kicking drills and situational practice.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

On the field my strengths include being mentally strong throughout a game, as well as being able to help my team win through clutch kicks. For off the field strengths I love to help the local community and use those opportunities to engage with fans as well as to include other teammates to create great bonding experiences that can help the team become stronger.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I am a well experienced kicker that has gone through just about every experience a kicker can go through, both positive and negative. Through all of these experiences I have been able to learn and continue to grow and I am always open to learning to be a better version of myself. I have yet to reach my maximum potential and know that as I continue to prepare for professional football I will grow to become one of the best kickers of all time because of my willingness to continue to grow combined with my natural talents.
