Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

Become an All Conference player and a All American.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

High IQ guy who flies around. Also a playmaking leader.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When studying film I like to match up our defensive calls against the formations given by the offense. I also like to study the individual matchups I may get throughout the game. If the receivers gives any hints on the type of route he’s going to run or what he does best in just the teams scheme.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I believe the two things that separates me from others in my position is versatility and effort. Whether i’m in coverage or in the box I feel comfortable. Being the leader in solo tackles in the Sun Belt and #3 in the nation for forced fumbles it shows that I am more than capable of tackling. Also my film will reflect that I have the ability to cover as well. I feel like the game is more enjoyable when you can move around and play multiple positions.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

After my bowl game on Dec. 26 I will be going to the CGS showcase. After all those I will most likely be training back in the DFW area.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

A guy who’s trustworthy and has the ability to do multiple things. Whether it’s special teams and defense I believe any organization can find value in my skill set. Off the field you can look no further than finding a guy that is bigger than himself and willing to do whatever it takes to bring pride to the front and the back of his jersey.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I understand that there is no substitute for work. Through me having less fortunate experiences in my life I have learned that effort and attitude is the ultimate equalizer. With me you’ll get a playmaker that brings the same energy to work everyday with an understanding that I am just getting better and better with time.
