Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I averaged over 5 yd/carry. I also positively influenced the culture in a developing program. I had other lofty goals, but unfortunately did not reach them.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My teammates and coaches would say I am intense, focused, detailed, inquisitive, patient and not afraid to fail.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When watching film I like to study the box first. What kind of front does the opponent run. I focus on gap responsibilities of the linebackers and how fast they flow to their gaps. I watch how the defenders show blitz demeanor and if they have any “tells”. I watch how the defenders play in different scenarios; 1st and 2nd down, 3rd and short-long, open field v redzone. I like to watch who gave the opponent a lot of struggle and who the opponent dominated.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me from other prospects is my ability to be available in big moments. I live for the big moments in the game, and I’m humble enough to know that succeeding in those moments doesn’t just happen. I study the plays, I watch the film, I get physically and mentally prepared for a dog fight and bring laser-like focus to practice and the game. Even if my one rep comes in the most pivotal moment in the game I will prevail. I know I may not start, or be a key backup right away. That will not phase me. I STILL have a hunger for this game after all these years. The marathon continues.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

Currently I plan to work and train hard with combine prep trainers. I plan to continue to evolve my diet, so I can a bit more prepared for the physical toll of professional football. Lastly I plan to trust God; this vision and this dream he placed within me to play professional football is precious to me. I will walk by faith, not by sight.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

A strength of mine is loving to take care of my body and improving my overall skill. I enjoy staying extra in the training facilities and leading by example first. Beyond that I really believe building team chemistry and helping others makes the team better. My extroverted personality helps me in connecting with teammates/coaches outside of practice and games. Staying out of trouble is important to me and I take pride in being reliable off the field. Lastly, I handle my stress and frustration with life in healthy ways to keep my mental health in check.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

As a kid, one can spend a lot of time wondering if getting signed and playing professional can happen for them. Since I was young I’ve been sure that it will happen for me. The chance to develop and surround myself with players who want greatness as much as I do is something I long for. The confidence and swagger is unmistakable. I will be successful with your help.
