Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My goal was to make as many explosive plays as possible to give my team the best chance to win games.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say I’m selfless, humble, hardworking, and very confident in my ability to make plays.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When watching film, I critique myself on what I could have done to score or make a big play and what stopped me from making it. I look for over pursuit from the d line and linebackers. I also look for their weaknesses and it’s usually a lack of speed.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me from other pro prospects is my speed for my size. You don’t usually see big backs with footwork and speed.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My off-season plan is to be just as if not more discipline with my nutrition as that will have a direct impact on my performance. My workouts will consist of power building and Olympic lifting with a combination of speed training. I will use a timing system to make sure I am building speed and not just running just to run.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I don’t feel that it’s all about actually playing the game, that’s apparent. Most of these guys can ball but what can set me apart is resilience. Responding in a positive manner in pressure situations is one of my strong suits. Never letting a tough situation change me or letting it alter the way I treat my wife and kids. We are currently living in an extended and on the verge of losing it all in a matter of a few days, but I still maintain poise and keeping my emotions in check to get out of this situation. I realized that it’s life and things are going to happen to you and it does suck, but you have to maintain composure or you will fall apart. I want to keep control of emotions mainly because my children are watching and they are most definitely counting on me. With that being said in football, things are going to happen and they won’t always be positive, but you can control your emotions during a time of loss.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

What sets me apart is the resilience I possess. I don’t doubt that these dudes can ball, but I feel that my maturity and discipline will give me an edge. I believe in always doing what’s required regardless of the discomfort. High pressure times are just a moment. Being selfless in those moments and responding well to pressure during the tough moments will set me apart. I want NFL scouts to know that they scouted a great player on and off the field before and they are scouting one now.
