Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

The number one goal I set out to accomplish my final year playing collegiate Football was to improve on my overall game, improve my leadership and to win a conference and national championship. Football is a team oriented sport, what we accomplish as a unified group lead us to our individual goals.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would all say that I’m a team player, a leader, as well as a follower (it’s important to be both). I handle criticism well and use it to motivate me to improve. Both would also say that I have a winner’s attitude and mentality.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When I study film, I tend to focus on what my opponents might have done to beat me and my teammates on a particular play. By doing so, I’m learning how to avoid getting beat the next time. I also focus on what we may have done wrong that allowed for a big play to happen. I critique my performance hard. There is always room for improvement and I try to find out how to improve, add and subtract during Film study.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I think what separates me from most of the other pro prospects is my motor. I have one speed,, and that’s 100. I never give up on a play. The play isn’t over until after the whistle has blown. My skill set is very versatile. I have a high FBI (Football Intelligence). Constantly working to get better each and every day. My story is pretty unique and from that I think it is true to who I am and what I’m about when it comes to finding a way to getting the job done no matter the difficulty.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My off season plan is to prepare for a professional opportunity included working on my speed, agility, endurance and mental well being. I have several friends and college teammates who are playing professionally and they all say the same thing, speed and endurance are a must and you better be mentally prepared for the long season. The NFL season is long and if your endurance and mental capacity are not up to par, you will hit a brick wall. And I know, in the NFL, it’s the next man up. So I want to be prepared by being in the best possible physical and mental condition so I will be ready when my opportunity comes.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

The strengths and abilities that I will bring to a team includes leadership qualities and my faith based beliefs. With leadership, one has to know when and how to exert advice and opinions that will affect the teammates. And I think I have the ability to know how and when to do that. Equally as important, as a rookie, you must know when not to. I am a strong believer in faith and God. Though I’m not ashamed to proclaim my faith, I do know when to, as well as, when not to exert my faith onto others. I am also a strong supporter of my community. So what a team will get from me is someone who is eager to engage with the community. I love to give back, without expectations of anything in return. If God sees fit to give me the opportunity and the platform to not only help myself, but also to help others, I feel it’s my duty to do so!

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

My final pitch to any professional football team is, as my film and highlights show, I am physically and athletically capable of playing at the next level. I am driven to become better today than I was yesterday. I will bring value to any team because I am a leader, a follower, a fast learner, focused and driven to win. I will be an asset to any team that gives me an opportunity.
