Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My primary goal coming to Ohio State was to win a national championship. I think every college athlete dreams of winning one. We got close but we fell short to Georgia this past season. However, personally this season I was able to have a career high in interceptions (3) and also lead my team in interceptions (3). I was honorable mention all Big10 which I wanted to be 1st team coming into the season.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would describe my playing style as versatile and instinctive. I have the ability to do a lot of different things on the defensive side of the ball. I have played corner, free safety, nickel, and box safety throughout my career at Oklahoma State and The Ohio State University.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

While preparing for an opponent film study is a big reason why I have success or don’t have success. I like to start each game week by simply watching out opponents most recent 2 games. I’m usually not looking for anything specific, just observing what kind of team they are and if anything sticks out to me. Specifically while watching film I like to break down the offense by personnel and what the offense likes to do out of each personnel. Being in the BIG10 I saw a-lot of 12 personnel. In the BIG12 I saw a-lot of 11 and even 10 personnel at times. By studying personnel I give myself a better chance at diagnosing certain plays by simply knowing what each team likes to do out of different formations in each personnel.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I believe my biggest separator is my ability to play multiple positions on the defensive side of the ball and being able to adapt quickly at whatever position I am playing. Learning the playbook and knowing it inside and out is something I pride myself on. This allows me to be interchangeable on defense because my coaches trust in my Knowledge of the assignments at each position. I have also been very productive on special teams throughout my college career.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I have been training at X3 Performance in Fort Myers, Florida getting prepared to test at The Ohio State Pro Day.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Throughout my College Career I have treated myself as if I was already a pro. What I mean by that is the way I handle and conduct myself is in the manner of a professional. I make sure I’m early for every meeting, workout, or practice. I also pride myself on taking care of my body so I am available for my team. I discussed my versatility and knowledge of football to be able to learn multiple position in the defensive backfield. Being able to become a sponge while in the meeting rooms with coaches is also something I pride myself on. I am very coachable. Overall I approach the game of football like a veteran because I’ve been able to grow and learn from my experiences and the experienced of others before me.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

If an NFL team wants a Versatile playmaker in their defensive backfield, who can contribute on both defense and special teams I am their guy. Hard working and very professional who is willing to go the extra mile for my team. Turn on the film.
