Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
In my final collegiate season the only real goal I had was to win a national championship. Personally I believe I put a lot of great things on tape my 1st year at montana and realized I just wanted to end my collegiate career with a degree & a championship.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would tell you I’m a very hard working individual who breathes football. A high character player who plays the game with passion and truly enjoys being a fierce competitor also a great teammate before anything else.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When I’m studying film the first thing I look for is who are the wrs and is there any 1 in particular I would need to travel with, if there isn’t I will see the top pass concepts and when they are calling these plays (what d&d). If there is a wr I will need to travel with I will study releases and split tendencies and what splash play do they target him on. I could go on and on about what I look for in film as there’s so much that goes into it but that’s what I will look for first.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from other pro prospects is my knowledge of the game I’ve been playing corner for about 13 years now but also my persistence, I don’t train until I get it right I train until I can’t get it wrong. I enjoy hard work and believe it’s the only path to success. I’m also athletic enough and have the size to continue being dominant at the next level.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My offseason plan to train is a lot of speed work and just preparing for testing. I was able to participate in the hula bowl and have 3 pbus on 3 targets putting more plays on tape. I will continue training at Bomaritos Miami.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Some strengths I bring to a team is a winning mindset and a positive locker room presence. More than anything a true competitor that wants to win at all costs, I strive to be better than the man in front of me every single rep. I’m a firm believer that everyday is a chance to get better, I understand I don’t know everything so I’m a sponge for knowledge and want to add as many tools to my game as possible.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
To any NFL team looking to draft me I would say I have been dominant at every level, I have my highschools record for interceptions set it my jr year(6) and broke my own record my senior yr(7), I was the #1 ranked cb in juco, & then went on to lead the country in interceptions at Montana; other teams then stayed away from the following year and now I’m top 5 in the country in cov %. Im a 2x unanimous all American and a 2x all conference db in my only two years at montana Im ready to make an impact right away in any system.
