Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I had personal goals of being an all conference caliber player and I was able to accomplish that my last 2 years. I also wanted to grow as a leader and push my teammates to be the best they could be. I was voted to be a team captain in my last season and did a good job elevating my teammates around me.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I believe my coaches and teammates would say that I am a passionate and driven player with great instincts to find the ball and make a play. I think my determination to never give up on a play really helped define my character on the field. I would also say that I brought the energy everyday thanks to my love and passion for the game.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I always like to put myself in the play when I watch film and ask myself what would I do in this situation? Aside from the basics that watching film entails, I look for small tendencies and details from opposing players that could make a difference on game day.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I think my grit, determination, and instincts separates me from fellow prospects. I was able to develop these past couple years and improve my game, but things that stuck out was my relentlessness to get to the ball and my ability to never give up on a bad play. Finally, my instincts to make a play, even if it may not be my responsibility in the playbook gives me an edge.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I have been training the past couple months and staying ready for possible opportunities that may come my way. I want to make sure that I am ready in case that day comes.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
My ability to pursue along with ability to evade blocks make me a defensive threat that is always looking to make that big play. I would say my abilities to be coached is a big positive in order to improve and work within a scheme. I always take pride in my ability to be a bad dude on the field and a good guy off the field.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I have always been an extremely hard worker no matter what my role is from being a scout player to a starter. Work ethic has always been my best quality and that is what I will always bring with me on a team. I have great potential for coaches who are willing to develop me further and be a valuable member to a team.
