Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
My goal for this season was to win conference and make a run in the playoffs. It did not pan out as I would of liked it to. I did accomplish a career goal of becoming an All-American. I also was able to become a finalist for the prestigious Cliff Harris Award this year after being a nominee last season.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They would say that I am dedicated, a team player, and motivated. They would also say they trust me to lead by example rather than vocally.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I focus on what I am seeing and looking at pre snap vs post snap. I harp on what steps I am taking once the play begins. If I am making false movements, where I can improve at to not do so.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I am always open to constructive criticism. I understand that if I’m not improving, there’s somebody else that is. That motivates me to get better each and everyday. I believe the instincts that I have on every down separates me from others. I am willing to come down hill against anybody that has the ball.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I moved to Atlanta, Georgia in January and I am looking to find the right trainer for me.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Someone that will show up to every practice with a positive attitude, ready to do whatever is necessary for the team to succeed. A teammate that will always lookout for those around him. A player who will come to compete day in and day out.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I have heard about measurables my whole life, I have never let those define me as player. I will not catch your eye with my measurables, but will with the tenacity and fearlessness I play with. Throw me to the wolves and I am going to come back leading the pack.
