Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
Going into the 2022-23 season I had set the goal to win special teams player of the year again. After winning it in the 2021-22 season I knew I had to show out again. Thankfully I was able to go back to back.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I can’t really speak for them but I know they would say that I’m someone that takes my job seriously but I also knows how to have fun. I think they would also say that I’m always pushing my limits in the kicking game.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When I watch film I focus on formations from the opposing teams. I focus on what returner I need to keep the ball away from. Teams would always put two returners in the back field on punt against me and still managed to keep the ball from getting returned.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from other kickers, I like to say my leg is like a golf bag, I have so many different types of kicks I can hit wether it’s on Punt or Kick offs. I have different clubs for different situations. You never know what to expect from me because I won’t always hit the same kick on you.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My off-season plan is to work out at Top View fitness, they train lots of college and profesional athletes such as (Aaron jones, Steven Montez & Alvin Jones) Joseph and Robert are some of the best trainers you can find in El Paso so I know I’ll get to work with them.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Some of my strengths are that I am never satisfied with myself. I will always push myself to be better for the team. You’ll always see me working on my steps and drops wether I’m on the field or outside the field. Outside of the field or facility you will get a person who is caring for others and will always be there when needed. I’m a big family guy.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My last thing to say to any scouts is I’m ready to get to work and bring a championship mentality to any team. My stats speak for themselves, I don’t mess around and I’m ready to keep doing what I love at the next level and hopefully soon be able to retire my parents since they have done so much for me. I would also love to give back to my community and open a few kicking camps. As there is so much talents here in El Paso that doesn’t get shown off enough.
