Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My goal for my senior year was to be a leader on a nationally ranked defense. Even with 5 starters having season ending injuries our defense was still ranked in the top ten throughout the whole year. Also staying healthy throughout the year was a goal of mine after being out half of the season last year.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say that I’m an extremely hard worker and that I would do anything for the success for my team. After injuries to our team I moved to a position I never played and took it as an opportunity to learn another aspect of the game.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When I study film, I try to watch my fundamentals and technique. I watch my timing coming off the edge when it comes to hand placement. I try to look for things that I can improve on and continue to work in practice. I look for good things I can build off and bad things that need more attention.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me is my quickness off the edge and my strength. My ability to work body leverage and hands are the best part of my game. Growing up wrestling I have been able to work this part of my game my entire life.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I have been training with Grossetti Performance before the Coronavirus shut everything down. I’m still running every day and I have access to a gym, so I’ve been able to lift throughout the quarantine.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I have a high motor paired with a strong work ethic and a good attitude. I play my best football against the best competition. I look forward to being able to compete against an opponent or for a spot on the team. When something is tough, I take it as an opportunity to overcome it rather than feel sorry for myself.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL/CFL or any other pro leagues?

I’m someone that is going to come in and take advantage of every rep. A team that gives me an opportunity to compete will be more than grateful with their decision. I’m going to come in and compete and be happy to contribute to the team’s success anyway that I can.
