Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
My goal coming into the season was to have a healthy season, improve on catching out of the backfield, and help lead my team to the national championship. I accomplished 2 of the 3 and ended my career with 3984 all-purpose yards, but unfortunately fell short on the last on my list. However, I did help lead my team to our first playoff berth since 2015.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would say that I’m the player on the team that will never settle for mediocrity; whether that’s for me or my teammates. During any practice or game, I don’t allow my teammates to give anything but maximum focus and effort.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When watching film I tend to focus on how I could have made a big play into a touchdown, a first down run into a big play, and a broken play into a positive play. I’m always focused on the negatives so the next game I can reduce errors.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me is my willingness to learn, my dependency, & my work ethic. If myself, a coach, a scout, or another player points out a flaw in my game I work relentlessly until that flaw becomes one of my best qualities.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I recently got feedback from an NFL Scout and he gave me the main things I need to work on in order to raise my chances of making it in. I’ve already began working on those specific attributes (mainly agility) so that when the senior games come around I can show the improvements I’ve already made just from the end of the season to that point in time.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
In any locker room I’m apart of, I bring a culture of hard work. I demand excellence from everyone around me, rather they are a vet or a rookie. On the field, I bring explosiveness and relentlessness.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
For any team looking at me: Understand that you’re going to have my undivided attention to better my craft daily and improve the franchise in any way I can. All I need is an opportunity and you will see every ounce of me poured into my craft. Thank you for your time.
