Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My main objective for my final collegiate season was to capitalize on every opportunity that presented itself, execute my tech, and my job description consistently. I knew coming off the junior year that I had in the Missouri valley conference I wouldn’t be targeted nearly as much my senior year so I had to maximize each chance I had to flash. With this being my main focus for my personal game, it shaped my game all across the board. I became a vicious hitter, and went from a ball hawk to overall turnover creator with 5 forced fumbles.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would describe me as passionate, consistent, reliable, and resilient as I pour every ounce of myself into the program and this amazing game we play day in and day out, on and off the field.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I have a specific approach to film study that I find to work for me. So early in the week I’d go through the opponents top formations and break down their top concepts. The next day I’ll go through situational football what do they like to do on 1st-3rd down, 2 minute drill, red zone, etc. The next day I’m keying alignments understanding that splits dictate routes and patterns. Then I’ll watch each player, study their tendencies, and gain a greater understanding as to who they are identity wise. The film will tell you everything you need to know.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me from any other defensive back is hands down my football IQ, I have a phenomenal understanding of the game and have even developed my own philosophies and schemes. Next would have to be how versatile I am being able to execute at corner, nickel, and safety at a high level. I would also have to include all around physicality, play making ability, and instincts.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My offseason goal is to mold any/all weaknesses into my strengths. Polish my game all around so that way I’m prepared when any opportunity presents itself regardless of the scheme or position I may find myself in.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I feel the biggest thing I can bring to a locker room and a community is my character! For some reason I’ve been fortunate enough to make a difference in the community and in my teammates life every where I have been by simply being myself, being consistent, and showing up everyday knowing it is a privilege and absolute blessing to play the great game of football. This sport is a way of life for me, not a hobby or something I feel sermoned to do. I do everything with great passion as it means the world to me.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I’m a guy who can/has change(d) the culture of my environment, a firm believer that energy is contagious, and how you do anything is how you do everything! I only know one speed and understand there is no magic pill to anything in life you must do the work! Whether my opportunity comes as a starter or a special teamer, I won’t be denied!
