Vincent Grasso: 2019 Draft Prospect Interview

Name: Vincent Grasso
School: Monmouth
Position: WR/RB/PR
Height: 5’7″
Weight: 185

Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

1st team all conference, 1000+ all purpose yards.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

Someone who is extremely versatile, hard working and dedicated player and teammate.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

It’s all about technique. Being able to run better routes, in and out of your breaks, releases off press, releases against off man, blocking. All comes down to bettering your technique.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

My quickness and being versatile. Being able to lineup in the backfield and get carries while also being able to pass protect, and then lineup at receiver and run the whole route tree. Being able to return punts and kicks only adds to my value on a roster.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

Doing what I’ve always done in my off seasons, just being consistent with my workouts and continue to take care of my body through diet and recovery.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

The dedication and love for the game is almost more important off the field than it is on. From weight room and film study to getting in the playbook. Teams want players that are all in for the team and the coaches, and have the right mindset for being a team first player to win ball games. Something that I possess and can be backed up by my college coaches.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

I believe in my ability and my speed and quickness to be able to be successful in this league and to separate myself from competition. I let my game and my film speak for itself and being able to compete in front of coaches in a workout or a camp will only prove this.
